FI Style Hose Clamps

We've tried just about every type of hose clamp. FI stands for Fuel Injection as these are the standard style used for Fuel Injection systems. Funny enough the use case isn't that much different from water in a van and why they work so well for the water line use case. Finding something that is easy to use, easy to remove, and does a fail safe job of keeping a good seal has taken several tries. Standard worm type hose clamps don't give an even and consistent round clamping surface so they often need overtightened to seal. When working with plastic hose barbs, overtightening can crush the hose barb. These clamps are the best of all worlds as they are a nice even clamping force and can easily be removed with a screw driver. They are also relitively low profile. We still use the crimp clamps in places where you are directly interacting with the hose like the connection to the water bottle where the downside of extra work removing is worth it. We use these clamps everywhere else.

They are the 13mm-15mm size (1/2“ to 9/16”). I'm sure there is a better place to get them but for now we get them from Amazon Here:
